Easter Services

Maunday Thursday Service (13th April) 8.00 p.m. in our             Church


Good Friday (14th April) Procession of Witness beginning  at

            10.00 a.m. at Brimington Common and

            11.30 a.m. Mount Tabor arriving for Service on the Green at 12 noon,  followed by Hot

             Cross Buns in our Church

It would be encouraging to see more people joining in the Procession of Witness - reminding people in the village of God's love for them


Easter Day (16th April)

   10.00 a.m.            Prayer in the Glass Room

   10.45 a.m.            Mrs Nel Shallow

     6.00 p.m.            Rev Mark Coles - Holy Communion

     7.30 p.m.            Praise and Healing Service for the Circuit - come and end Easter Day by       continuing to celebrate  Jesus' sacrifice and God's endless love for us all

Village Market - Saturday, 10th June - proceeds from our stalls and refreshments for Christian Aid

Farewell Party for the Coles Family - Saturday, 15th July at  6.30 p.m.

Quiz Evening and Pie and Pea Supper- Saturday, 30th September at 6.00p.m.

Church Christmas Party  at the Red Lion - Friday, 8th  December


The Gift Day raised 3304.  Many thanks to all who supported this excellent total - breaking our target!


Preparation for Evangelism - led by Nel Shallow

This is a two evening course not the same course repeated


Thursday, 25th May - Ascension Day at Bolsover Methodist Church beginning at 7.30 p.m. there will be a Circuit Recognition Service for David Wilson and Mark North as accredited Local Preachers  together with a Circuit Presentation and Farewell to Mrs Nel Shallow.


Sheffield District Network Summer Day - 20th May at Bradwell Methodist Church - Speakers Alison Judd (The Connexional Network President and Margaret Sawyer (The Connexional Network Secretary) - more details on Notice Board


Tileagd Community Complex Big Dream  - we have promised to raise 1000 towards the complex in Romania by September.  To date 586.60 has been collected from donations and through the envelopes.


Future Fund-raising:-

Table Top Sale on Saturday, 29th April from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.  To book a table see Jill or phone her on 555822 - not many tables left.

There will also be a jewellery stall.  If you have any jewellery or display boxes please give to Jean Morton as soon possible as jewellery needs to be displayed to sell.  (The morning of the sale is too late!)

A home made cake stall, bric a brac stall and refreshments will be available.

If you have any items for the bric a brac stall that need collecting please see John Buxton.

Sunday Club are having a Jumble Sale on Saturday 6th May from 10.00 a.m. to raise funds towards the Sunday Club Outing.  If you have anything you need collecting now, or later, please see John Buxton.

 The Notices on Easter Day will cover two weeks.
